Meet Dr. Laura Immanuel

Due to the lack of dental education in her home country of Indonesia, Dr. Immanuel spent most of her childhood in the dental chair. There she sympathized what it was like to be a scared dental patient. Now with 23 years of experience as a general dentist, her expertise and compassion helps ease the nerves of her anxious patients.
The Professional Side
After working as a dental assistant over a single summer, her decision to become a dentist was cemented with the goal of easing dental anxiety in patients. With 23 years of experience as a general dentist, her expertise and compassion for anxious patients has helped tremendously. Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Dr. Immanuel earned a Bachelor of Science from Union College in 1993 before completing a post-baccalaureate program at the prestigious Columbia University the following year. She subsequently received a Doctor of Medical Dentistry from Tufts University of Dental Medicine in 1999 and furthered her expertise through advanced education in a general dentistry program at Stony Brook School of Dentistry in 2000.
She has practiced in the greater Boston area since 2001 and practiced in New York for 2 years prior to that. Dedicated to education, Dr. Immanuel consistently pursues supplementary knowledge of new dental technologies, procedures and research. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and Metropolitan District Dental Society. Devoted to her community, she has volunteered with underprivileged children at Fenway Park with an annual event sponsored by Teamsmile. The mission of which is to promote children’s oral health through the power of sports. Throughout her career, she has had the honor of receiving various Who’s Who Awards and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Achievement Award, which she earned in 1999. More recently, she was recognized as one of Boston’s Top Dentists by Boston Magazine in 2020. Looking toward the future, Dr. Immanuel intends to continue doing what she loves while experiencing additional growth in the field.
